Our core programs are 10 Consecutive Evening Intensives, typically taught each night from 7-10PM.  We've adapted this model because it has yielded the best combination of results considering attendance, retention, test scores, convenience and cost.  More than two thirds of our student body comprises full time professionals and college students who have day-time commitments.  Such courses are also attended by younger audiences of whom we see more of during winter and summer recesses.  Our core programs currently include:

ARA 101    Beginners Arabic (for students with no background in Arabic whatsoever)

ARA 102    Tajweed Essentials (for students who read basic Arabic but need work on their Qur'an recitation)

ARA 201    The Fundamentals of Classical Arabic (for those who read Arabic without comprehension)

Seminars comprise 10 hour sessions between a Friday, Saturday & Sunday.  Seminars are designed to cover particular topics of interest within Arabic studies or literary aspects of Qur'anic studies.  Our seminars include but are not limited to:

ARS201    The Literary Marvel of the Qur'an

ARS202    Advanced Tajweed

ARS203    Near Synonyms

ARA204    Transitions of Personal Pronoun, Gender, Tense, Number and Subject in the Qur'an

Bayyinah is excited to begin summer immersion programs focusing on conversational Arabic and listening comprehension.  Immersion programs are to last 3 weeks each.  We are planning to execute one program per summer for men, another for women and another for families with children.  We are currently looking at properties in Texas for the launch of the program in 2009, insha Allah.
